Brandon is a Master Teacher and Performing Artist for Verne Q. Powell Flutes.
An active pedagogue in New York for nearly a decade, Brandon has led flute, chamber music, and orchestral repertoire masterclasses at universities and music festivals across the globe. He has presented masterclasses at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Virginia Commonwealth University, and has taught flute and chamber music at the Festival de Música de Santa Catarina in Jaraguá do Sul, Brazil. In addition to his flute and chamber music teaching, Brandon recently appeared at the Richmond Flute Fest, where he led the orchestral piccolo masterclass, and adjudicated the high school, collegiate, and adult amateur competitions. He has served on the audition panel for the National Youth Orchestras at Carnegie Hall, bringing together the brightest young players from around the world to form the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America, National Youth Orchestra-2, and National Youth Orchestra of China. An advocate for arts access and music education, he currently leads the flute program for the Bronx based El Sistema program Upbeat NYC.
